Meet in the middle

Left is right, right is right, whatever....don't you think we need to meet somewhere in the middle? I'm just saying what I feel, I don't think its ever going to happen. As much as democrats are upset about the Bush tax cuts....what was he supposed to do? Let all tax cuts expire and let unemployed people starve?  I tend to lean to the left because the left is for the "little people". Republicans are bound to corporations. Republicans also want a leaner/smaller government....ok, lets examine that. Lets say we get rid of the FDA, people who examine our food products. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that we will have real problems food if that happens. Get rid of all the regulations on Wall Street? are we nuts? We don't have ENOUGH regulations! I know there is alot of waste in government but we need to use common sense here.
There IS another side to this. There are way too many people who CAN work that do not work. I've seen alot of it in Hartford. There is too much entitlement  in our country. It doesn't mean we should turn our back on children and the elderly....I will be posting more in the future..
